I used my Canon 10D 50mm f1.8 L with off camera 420ex flash in a 2 foot pop-up light box. Another shot from the impromptu shoot at a costume convention known as Dragon*Con.  enlarge     topside

I snapped this photo off with my Canon SD1200 pocket digital. It's not a professional camera, but it'll take a good photo if you see something. It's a nice balance of manual options and speed/portability, I recommend you have one for light traveling.  enlarge     topside

Shot with my Canon 10D and 20mm 2.8 L at dusk. This was at one of the infamous polo matches the Salahi's held, free admission, free food, and some nice photos; hey I won't complain.  enlarge     topside

Canon 10D and a 50mm 1.8 hand held. Same polo match, shortly after the sun set. Some American Idol loser was performing, I just liked the way the light was painting the scene.  enlarge     topside

Canon 10D and a 50mm 1.8. At another Salahi polo match, this mime was the highlight of the evening. He was toasting me as he was passing through the crowed.  enlarge     topside

Canon 10D 50mm 1.8. This is one of my favorite setups, if you haven't noticed by now. Little wooden indian in the shop at the National Native American Museum.  enlarge     topside

Canon 10D 20mm 2.8 with a mounted Speedlite 420ex and diffuser. I shot this wedding on the fly the day after the 2010 massive snow storm. It was a low budget wedding, so I had no assistant. This meant the lighting was what it was, limited options, time, and it was very dark. Though I did manage to grab some pretty shots, great couple, very photogenic. Man I used a lot of commas on this post.  enlarge     topside

Canon 10D 20mm 2.8 with a mounted Speedlite 420ex and diffuser. You can't always anticipate a shot, and this is one of them. I said something that made the bride smile at the same time the bride's maids flipped the vail forward. Luck is one technique I always like to use.  enlarge     topside

Canon 50mm 1.8 with a mounted Speedlite 420ex and diffuser. The couples first dance, not much you have to do to get a good shot. At this point I didn't have to pose them or tell them to smile.  enlarge     topside

Canon 10D 50mm 1.8, natural light filtered through a window. I took this one while shooting store a front and promotional photos for a boutique butcher shop in Upperville Virginia.  enlarge     topside
